OUR ISLAND

Turneffe Island Lodge is a leader in exclusive yet accessible private island vacations in the western Caribbean and Central America.  Hidden 35 miles offshore southeast from Belize City, we provide a rare and peaceful interlude in today's hectic world.  There are no TVs, radios, computers, newspapers, cell service, internet, or wi-fi in your rooms*.  Escape and let nothing distract you from relaxing and enjoying your activities.

We minimize our impact on the wonderful Turneffe Atoll and the ocean environment around us by conserving, recycling and reusing materials and resources on the island. Our water is heated by solar panels, rainwater is collected and added to de-salinated water for use throughout the island, standard US rated electricity is generated by diesel generators, and septic is fully contained. 

Our staff and managers live on the island and take great pride in maintaining it and sharing their hospitality. It's important to them that you enjoy their home. As a member of EXCLUSIVE ISLAND HOTELS & RESORTS, we cater to a unique audience with high expectation of their vacation and activities.  

Due to our relatively isolation and structure of our 3, 4, and 7 night packages, the 35 mile boat rides to and from the island are on Wednesday and Saturday only. You must arrive to Belize no later than 2:30 PM in order to make our boat transfers. (Private water taxi service is available for custom trips, or if you miss our boats due to travel delays, at a seprerate charge of $450.)
